Dreamweaver demo.
Today we learnt how to use Adobe Dreamweaver which is used to create websites. First of we learnt that we must use html document for websites and also that we needed a "Root" folder to have all the pages saved into.So in this screenshot I'm showing the pages I've created for the website all I did was go to file new and select the html then name the untitled document.
Here I've shown that I have to save each page inside the "Root" folder and name them depending on what the document is called.
Here I've started to change the colour of each page by going on to each one then clicking modify > page properties then making sure the setting are on appearances html you can from there change the background colour, the text colour and other things for now i just change the background and text colour but i think in another website i would use a background image and change the colour of links also.
Here I've started to link up my pages by highlighting the text I want to be linked then i used the point to file tool to whilst highlighted set the tool on the page I want it to go to once clicked. I've done this on each page.
Here I've made another new page and named it Shop once I've done the normal procedure I went to insert > table and set it to 3 to 3 columns and rows and no border, this is so when I add images to the table it wont look like it's in a box.
Now in this screenshot I've started to add the gif images to the table. I also gave each a hash key in the link box at the bottom because then when you hover over the picture it will give you a indication with a little hand. Now I start giving the images "behaviours" first I go to window > behaviour then once thats up i can give each image a behaviour which means when i click on the image it'll open a new seperate window.
In this seperate window I'll add a larger image .
Here I've added a JavaScript (close) in the link box to create a button which will close the following highlighted text, this will make pages more user friendly and easier to manage later on in the process. From this demo i can create my own website which will be a shop website and that will need a lot of thumbnails to links with larger images.
